Another Shooting
There has been another senseless shooting and now
we are forced to accept another tragedy. How long
must this continue? How many more lives must be
lost? What has to happen before we, finally, assume
the responsibility for these shootings and we do --
what must be done -- to stop them? When will we
adopt some meaningful Gun Control measures to
curb the violence? When will we say that we have
had enough? When...
The Shooter
We have lost control of our Society.
We have no sense of right and wrong, no religion, and
no family values to restrain the individuals actions.
Instead, we have video War games, the internet and
"action" movies to set the standards for acceptable
behavior. The wild shootings that have occurred thru
out our land have come as the result of a Lack of
Morality, and also because of the easy access to Fire-
arms. So long as we have no moral precepts to guide
us, so long as the individual is not held to be responsible
for their actions, so long as Religion and the Family are
demeaned and treated with indifference, and so long as
there is an easy access to Firearms; then we can expect
such violent outbursts to continue. When such tragedies
happen we should not wonder about the identity of the
shooter nor the motivation for their actions -- the seeds
for these incidents have been planted, long ago, within
us all. Violence is the Harvest we now reap. Who is to
blame for the shootings? It is our whole society that is
at fault, our whole society pulled the trigger.
Failed Leadership
It is discouraging when the government can not protect
us from our Enemies (both foreign and domestic), when
the individual Citizen must take up arms to defend him-
self, his family, his home, and his business. What is the
point of having a government when it can not maintain
Law and Order? When crime runs wild in the streets and
terror stalks our schools?
And what about us, the people who have to live with all
of this turmoil -- when will be able to enjoy some Security
in our lives?
Aren't any of our so called leaders -- able to lead? Where
is their resolve? Where are their proposals? What has to
happen, how many more innocent people must die, before
our Leaders establish a greater control over the Ownership
and Use of Firearms? When will the Politicians do what they
were elected to do? When will they bring Peace to our
Country?
