-- Preface
Our understanding of Nature has changed with the
passage of Time.
In the distant Past, we had thought that Nature was ruled
by powerful "Spirits" that could be controlled (or at least
appeased) by Sacrifice , the performance of Rituals, or
Prayer. From there, our thinking evolved up until Ancient
Greece, where some Philosophers conceived of Existence
as being made up of four different Elements, (Earth , Wind,
Rain, Fire.) Our (collective) thinking continued to advance
up to the time when the Atom was first discovered and
then considered to be the final, indivisible, Element of
Nature. In 1945 that assumption was proven to be wrong.
Since then, there have been many different Theories put
forth to try an explain the fundament make up, and the
properties, of our Environment. Some of these Theories
are not based on Fact and seem to be more like Flights of
Fantasy rather than serious proposals of Scientific Thought.
A more plausible conception of Nature is now needed.
It is difficult for us to accept new ideas, especially when
they contradict long standing Beliefs and Traditions; and
we have to start out all over again, like an innocent Child
that is just beginning to Explore its World.
1
But when the old solutions have reached the limit of their
application, and the old answers no longer seem to be
relevant, then it is time for us to make a change. If we can
accept the challenge and make the necessary changes in
the way we think; we may find the insights gained were all
well worth the effort and they do expand the Horizons of
our Mind. And, by our efforts, we will have won an
improved knowledge of Existence and a better
understanding of -- Our Self.
-- Introduction
The Basic Stuff of Existence is not a "Thing" but is instead
a "Way of Being."
(What we think of as --Existence-- is subject to change.
Under some conditions there will be (what we consider to
be) Substance; meaning the Physical Presence of Matter
and Energy. While under other conditions there will be no
apparent Substance and our Universe will seem to be an
unlimited, unchanging, "Nothing."
A Void.
It all depends on -- Motion.)
Motion is the basic "Stuff" of Existence.
When there are variations in Motion, there will be
noticeable Differences in our Environment (and hence the
States of Matter and Energy that we are familiar with.)
When there is a State of Absolute Uniformity of Motion,
there will be no differences to be observed.
It is Motion, in all of its various Shapes and Forms, that we
perceive to be Substance.
2
-- A New Perspective
It is possible for us to think of Existence in terms of fluid
movements instead of solid Particles. And, if we would
like to have a better comprehension of Nature (and the
way things work) then we should be concentrating our
attention on finding some common "Patterns of Motion"
and turn away from the search for an elusive, final,
Element. For example, the following ideas could help us
to have a greater awareness of Motion, and the Natural
Rhythms that are occurring all around us.
-- Patterns of Motion.
Part A: Movement
(The Interaction of Relative Opposites.)
1. Difference is the Motivating Cause of Motion.
2. When Difference does exist -- a Reaction to that
Difference will occur.
3. The Reaction will be an Interaction between the
Relative Opposites involved.
4. Interactions occur by way of Diffusion (a spreading out
of Influence from a Positive Force toward a Negative
Force), and will take place in the Direction of Least
Resistance.
5. The purpose of the Interaction is to Neutralize the
Difference that exists and to establish a State of
Equilibrium between the Opposing Forces.
6. Once a State Of Equilibrium is reached, the
Interactions will cease --
3
Part B: Repeated Motions
(The Alternating Interaction of Opposites.)
When Opposites Interact, a Reversal of their Poles will
occur. (The Area that was once Negative will become
Positive and the Area that was once Positive will become
a Relative Vacuum.) Producing a reversal of their original
States and making the conditions necessary for a
renewed Interaction.
If the original Opposing Forces are Exact Opposites then
this Alternation of Poles (and their Interactions), will
continue Indefinitely.
When the Opposing forces are not Exact Opposites an
Incomplete Alternation will occur; the Positive Force will
move into other (adjoining) Areas; and the original State of
Opposition will be diminished. The Alternations will
continue to dissipate (into other Areas) until there is no
noticeable difference in the Opposing Forces and their
Interactions will cease.
Part C: The Individual (In Definition)
1. Repeated Interactions can be seen as sustained
" Patterns of Motion."
2. The Individual is the Interaction that occurs between
Relative Opposites. It will have the Form and Physical
Characteristics (meaning the; Size, Shape, Mass, Density,
Temperature, etc.) produced by its own Movement; and by
its (possible) contact with other Individuals.
4
3. Common Forms of Interaction include;
-- a Sphere:
Which is a single (360Degree) Movement between
Opposites.
(And can be seen in the shape of Stars, Planets, and in the
Globules of Air in Water.)
-- Concentric Circles:
Which are simple Repeating Movements between
Opposites.
(And are seen in the Patterns of Solar Systems, Atomic
Formations, and in the Movements of Waves in a Pool of
Water.)
-- Turning Motions:
Which are Indirect Movements between Opposites.
(And are seen in Whirlpools, Tornados, Hurricanes, and
Planetary Rotation.)
-- Waves, Beats, Pulse:
Which are limited, non-uniform, Repeating Movements.
(And can be seen in Ocean Waves, the Wash Board Effect
in Gravel Roads, Musical Rhythms, and in the Beating of
our own Hearts.)
-- Energy, Fire, Light:
Which are diffused, non-repeating, Forms of Movement.
(And are experienced as Radiation, Heat, and Life.)
4. All Forms of Movement are Inter-Related.
By their Interactions they produce a single, united,
Universal Entity. (Our Greater Self.)
-- Our Point of View
Our Perception of Existence is greatly influenced by our
own Personal Needs. We think in terms of the Physical
Demands imposed on our Thoughts by our Bodies and we
consider ourselves to be Self Sufficient, Independent,
"Individuals." Everything that has happened in the Past
has encouraged us to think in this manner and we do not
5
see the Interactions that have produced us and that
continue to sustain us. It is not surprising that we take our
Concept of Self and project it out into our Environment as
we try to comprehend the Basic Workings of Existence.
That is why we think of Substance as being made up of
Individual Particles and as something that was produced
by separate, dis-connected, Events. If we could think
more in terms of Inter-Related Actions and Fluid Forces
then we might have a more realistic picture of what is
really happening in our Environment and a more honest
assessment of our Roles in the Grand Cosmic Scheme of
Things. Our Relationship to the World, and to the Events
that effect our lives, might become more obvious and
might help us to live in greater Harmony with each other.

There is a Form of Consciousness
To each and every Thing --
The Rock is Conscious of Solidarity
The Daisy of the Spring --
Imagine the Perspective !
What Thoughts to us unfold
When the Insensitive is Sensitized
And Existence considered Whole --
