The Politicians

They all seem to be so proud, so filled with their own

importance -- who among them is humble and sub-

missive to the Will of the People? Which one has a

genuine sympathy for the people they are supposed

to serve?

Who will share in our Fear as we send our children

off to school, or we leave our home to go to work?

Who can live with the impact of Crime as the pain

strikes down deep within us, and stays with us for

the rest of our lives? Who can understand the despair

of Poverty and of living, homeless, on the streets?

Who knows the lure of Drugs and Alcohol and can

see how they are ruining our lives? Who has noticed

the turning away from God and the loss of Morality

in our Society? Who can see the problems that

affect us all and will try to heal them? Who can offer

us Hope and the chance for a better tomorrow?

Tell me, which one is it -- who can think beyond

themselves and will try to do what is best for our

whole Society? Who is really a Public Servant?
